Dear Colleagues, dear Friends,

Vrettos

It is a great honor and privilege for me to represent you as President of UICH - Les Clefs d'Or.

Guided by the most noble principals and values such as Friendship, Solidarity and Good Will, my fellow members of the executive committee and myself will try to go forward and give to our association a different perspective, externalizing our goals and needs, in the various continents, imbue and enrich our significant and exceptional role  to the hospitality industry.

The presence of the executive members to national events, educational seminars where are needed, our official Website, the International Revue and the Les Clefs d’Or Blog, will be the spearhead during our mandate.

Over the last years we have achieved to be a social and professional partner in a national and international level in the tourism field. We will continue to be present where is needed, conveying the spirit of Les Clefs d'Or. We will continue to be present at the Tourism schools around the world, educating and motivating the new generation for the amazing world of the Concierge.

But more, we will be present  for you, supporters of your efforts, always with solidarity and friendship to work, no matter of time and effort,  for our wonderful, powerful and exceptional Les Clefs d'Or association.

I would like to thank Virginia Casale, Colin Toomey, Simon Thomas, Roderick Levejac, Jean- Roland Boutille, Michael Romei, and Dominique Guidetti for their support.

To congratulate Jeannie Mills (Americas), Edwin Saldanha (Asia), Tamas Ungar (Central Europe), Simon Delcominette (Western Europe), Federico Barbarossa (Mediterranean), Franz Staufer (Oceania), Anders Ruggiero (Scandinavia) for their commitment as zone directors.

Robert Watson as our new Sages member and Aldo Giacomello as our Goodwill Ambassador.

To recognize your outstanding, excellent, kind, hospitable, discret and enthusiastic service, that every one of you provides to your hotel guests and like

Homer in Odyssey says: For as long as he lives, every guest remembers the hospitable man who also shows kindness”

Vive Les Clefs d’Or!

AP 2013 Anna

Anna ENDRIHOVSKAIA

Anna was born in Moscow on October 14, 1988, but very soon her family moved to Berlin and then to Athens.

This is what she says about herself:

“Since I was a child I went to drama clubs and I wanted to be an actress and I even passed all the exams to enter the best Russian actor school but then my father said that if I will be an actress –I won’t be his daughter. Believe me or not but it was extremely tough. I was suffering and it was a hard time for me because I had to find something what would keep me up with feelings, with emotions and satisfaction. I was happy to travel since I was a kid; I visited my first hotel when I was 1 year old. And I always felt myself comfortable in the hotel as a guest. I got to know all the staff and I liked to help them and this kept me entertained since I was a child. So coming back to the time when I had to re-choose my life path I decided to go to the hotel business and I knew from the beginning that I want to be a Concierge.

So in 2005 I entered a “Hospitality College Tsaritsino” to the faculty of “Hospitality management” and in 2008 I entered “Russian Economical University” to the faculty of “Financial management” and graduated with honor in 2012.

As soon as I reached 18 years old in 2004, I started to work in Marriott Royal Aurora hotel as a butler, as they didn’t have the concierge position available. After 2 years I finally became a concierge. At that time my chef concierge was Ekaterina Zhuravleva who was the President of Les Clef d’Or Russia at that time so I had a great example of a Les Clef d’Or concierge. After 5 years of work in my first hotel I moved to the first in Russia InterContinental hotel – InterContinental Tverskaya Moscow. As of May 2013 I will join the concierge team of the privately owned Metropol Hotel in Moscow managed by the Vice President of Clefs d’Or in Russia – Andrey Korystov. Metropol is one of the eldest hotels in Russia and it’s a architectural heritage, besides being just a luxury hotel and I’m very proud to work in such a historical place.

Anna became a Clefs d’Or member in 2009 when she was accepted by the unanimous vote of all Executive Committee. After her first congress in London she returned very inspired and motivated to change something in the hospitality business in Russia, so in 2012 she applied for the position in the Executive Committee of Russian chapter as a PR Executive and was elected by a solid vote. Being in the Executive Committee less than a year Anna already organized several meetings with Russian tourism authorities, hospitality schools and some companies from the industry. In the end of 2011 after returning from the 1st Pan European congress in Bucharest Anna conducted an open lesson for a tourism faculty in one of the Moscow universities and was talking in front of almost 300 students about the concierge profession, Clefs d’Or values, history and concierges in Russia. It was the first experience for our chapter in Russia and with her energy many more to come.

Anna was the 4th Andy Pongo nominee from Russia for the past 4 years and “Flame of the Future” she bought back home is the award not only to her but to all Russian members and a great example for youngsters who is just about to come to our very respectful and most interesting profession.
