After having been members of the belgian section during 4 years and on request of the international committee and with the great help of Jos JOOSTEN, President of the Belgian section, Luxembourg created its own independent section in 1989. It was a great day for all members in Luxembourg of that time. President was Claude BAUER, head concierge at « Le ROYAL » hotel***** in Luxembourg. At the official ceremony of the foundation of the CLEFS D’OR LUXEMBOURG, we had the pleasure to welcome André DAMONTE, Odette and Albert OSTERTAG, José RABADAN, Pierre PORTE, Jos JOOSTEN and Ben WAEHLTE. The first Membre d’Honneur was Jean BIBAUW from the hotel « Le ROYAL », followed by Mr CRAVAT, Mr ETTER, Mr AREND, Mrs GOLMEIER, Mr DAMSTER and Mrs PEETERS. All these persons have helped the section to grow and to survive and we thank them. Our Members are located in hotel « Le ROYAL », « HILTON », « GRAND HOTEL CRAVAT », « HOTEL CASINO2000 » and « NH Luxembourg » All of us are very proud to be part of this very prestigious association. We are very active. LES CLEFS D’OR in Luxembourg is a real friendship. We meet very frequently for diners, meeting, drinks,… Since Luxembourg is part of the international association, the Luxembourgish press has been very interrested in what a hotel concierge is. We have very large and nice articles in the best newspapers and magazine 3 to 4 times per year. That also helps giving a positive image of Les Clefs d’Or. Luxembourg attended most international congresses and is now ready for the next one in China in March 2009. |
