"THE SOCIETY OF THE GOLDEN KEYS OF MALAYSIA"

The Society of the Golden Keys Malaysia was first founded as the Les Clefs d’Or Malaysia Chapter under the umbrella of Les Clefs d’Or Singapore in the mid 90’s. Mr Timothy Gan, then Chef Concierge of the Regent Hotel Kuala Lumpur, was the founder and first Honorary President of the Society which was later on recognized as an independent chapter in 1997.

Since then the Society has grown and matured with a number of major events held in and around the country to promote the awareness of this beautiful profession. Such activities include a series of nationwide Junior Concierge training that is held almost on a yearly basis; educational talks at various hospitality educational establishments; nationwide road shows on the profession; and also a Southeast Asian Congress in 2009 that was attended by almost 120 concierges from around the Southeast Asian region including Australia, Japan and South Korea.

The Society of the Golden Keys Malaysia is currently in the midst of preparing to host one of the biggest project they have ever planned so far, which is the 61st UICH International Congress in Kuala Lumpur in the year 2014.
