The Philippines, commonly known as the “Pearl of the Orient Seas” is an archipelago that consists of 7,100 islands. It is a country that owes its soul to its unique and multiple heritage. A perfect blending of the east and west together with the combination of its various influences makes the Filipinos unique in many ways…hospitable, cheerful, fun-loving, festive and God fearing.

 

By history, Les Clefs d’Or Philipines who was then under the auspices of Les Clefs d’Or Singapore, became the 29^th member country of the UICH “Les Clefs d’Or” upon its conferment during the 40^th International Congress in December of 1993 in Singapore. Its founding chairman, the late Andy Pongco – 1^st Vice President International/ Chef Concierge-Intercontinental Manila, is also known to be the “Godfather of the Philippine Concierges”.  Proudly, the Philippines played host to the 52^nd UICH “Les Clefs d’Or” International Congress 21-26 January 2005, so far the 3^rd Asian country to have hosted such a momentous event.
