CHAVES DE OURO DE PORTUGAL

The Association “Chaves de Ouro de Portugal – Associação de Profissionais de Portaria e Recepção de Hotel” was created in 1971 and joined the U.I.C.H Les Clefs d’Or in 1972.

In December 1972 had its first National Congress. The Association promoted the XXIV International Congress in Lisboa (1976) and the XXXI International Congress in Funchal (1983).

In 1995 the Portuguese Government distinguished the Association with the Gold Medal for the Turistic Merit.

In 2003 a new generarion toke over and started a new era for the Association; a new logo was created, a website was developed, a Lisbon map was printed and we joined the Lisbon Tourism Association as a full member.

The Association has presently 61 International Members from the 550 National Associates all over the Country.

Our aim is to teach, and show, the passion of “In Service Through Friendship” to the new professional generation.
