Dear Friends,

Cannes Film Festival is here and so little of my time is available right now. This is a period of time (I dare say we all have one) which is very exciting but which does not give me much availability for anything else. I have asked Virginia and Robert to "look after you" for this nearly three weeks period.

I hope all is well for you in your respective work and family lives.

The international revue is due to come out for mid June. I hope you have all sent your information and articles to Virginia.

Once this is done, I shall be after you for compiling all your members details in order to go ahead with the Book of Member 2007/2009. I desperatly want it published for the beginning of September at the latest. (And let us not forget that August is a holiday, which leaves even less time).

I was in Paris some days ago and took a look at what had been sent by you all to the office at 12 rue Cambon. I might have been delighted with a few - too few - files, but not so much with many others. There is still a lot to be done by many of you.

During the French National meeting, I nominated Roderick Levejac as the Representive of the President in Paris. I live in Cannes, 1000 kilometers away from our office, and his help will be very precious to me.

I have had a little improvement on our website. It is a little more updated but expertise is needed. Apicius takes a fairly long time to input or update information. The most important points have been covered but there is plenty more to be done. As I was telling you previously, Roderick has been doing a wonderful job on another address that I will soon pass on to you.

Most likely, we will meet for an Executive Committee meeting together with the Directors of Zones in October. Cannes could well be the venue. Virginia will tell you more about this very shortly.

A few items such as ...

- Confirmation of the 2010 Congress in Germany.
- Western Zone Director nomination (The two months interim ceases on May 23).
- News about the creation of an international flag.
- Creation of an "identical for all" adhesion form and an international membership card.
- Help to the Danish section in organizing and financing our next congress

... need our attention !

Decision has been made not to use the services of Mr. Meyer Gross (Attorney) any longer.

Reminders have been sent to all of you as regards to copying correspondence all over. For this, I urge you to respect hierarchy. That is definitely for the good of us all and of our association.

Finally, I remind al national sections that despite the fact that they can decide of the use of their National logo, the use of the International one is only with the avail of the International Board.
