Very Dear Friends ,

Summer has not been an holiday for all of us. Dry, hot, windy conditions created fires which affected tragically our friends in Greece ... High wind, tornados, hurricanes did not spare Mexico and mostly Cancun area. On behalf of us all I would like to bring all our sympathies to the one's affected by these, now repeating, tragedies. It is not easy to go to current affairs after such bad news ...

I had the pleasure to participate at the US national Congress late August in New York (Mr. Maurice Dancer was elected as the new National President) and participated in Hong Kong, early September, at the celebration of their 25 years anniversary as member section of UICH. Both these celebrations were a great success, attendance very strong, working sessions very professional, entertainement exquisite. I wish to say a big thank you to all the one's involved into the preparation of these actions which bring the name of "Les Clefs d'Or" into more and more recognition.

Sadly I totally missed out on the Asian congress so well organised by Jeannie Choi. A slip up on my agenda was the reason. I have since apologise to Jeannie and would like to openly apologise to the participating members of this very succesful congress.

Mexico is next. I will sadly not be there to share with this "smiling crowd" what I am sure will be a wonderful few days ...

It was Paris last monday and French National election. I am very happy to announce that Roderick Levejac (representative of the International President in Paris) is the newly appointed President. Let's all wish him the very best. The French school of Concierges opened its doors on September 6th with 12 very good profile students who will be tested until June in order to obtain their diploma. This school, I remind you, is under the control of the French Clefs d'Or but totally within the authority of the French National Education.

I will go to Switzerland very soon for the "Bucherer" diner, will visit Arshad mid October for the preparation of our next international Congress and then will get myself ready to host the Executive Committee and Zone Directors in Cannes at the end of October.

I wish to apologise to all the one's I might have forgotten to congratulate in organising National events. As from now we will have a calendar of all your happenings in order not to forget anyone.

I wish to see as many of you as posssible in Copenhagen. As I said before my dream is that all countries will be represented by their National Presidents and as many members possible.
