UICH Les Clefs d'Or - Union Internationale des Concierges d'Hôtels "Les Clefs d'Or"
"LES CLEFS D'OR AUSTRALIA"
The Australian chapter of Les Clefs d'Or was formed in 1981 and currently has 31 members represented in most states and territories
around the country. Along with New Zealand we make up the Australia/Oceania Zone, the smallest of its kind in the UICH.
Although geographically the most distant country from our Paris headquarters, Australia has over the years contributed greatly to the international scene. Our founding president,
Tony Facciolo, served as International President UIPGH from 1995 to 1997. He was subsequently installed as World Ambassador for Life at the completion of his tenure. Australia also hosted
the 1994 World Congress in Sydney, an event that is still widely considered to be one of the most successful meetings ever held. Another great source of pride is our continued
representation at the World Congress where we have been in attendance since our admittance in 1981.
Our major national activities include the hosting of a number of State Concierge Balls, twice yearly tourist attractions workshops, bi-monthly Concierge dinners and our Annual General
Meeting.
